Called dealer today, having heard nothing since my invitation to the VIP Ride & Drive event in mid Dec. Sadly I couldn't book mine as I'm away on two days offered. I had assumed they would try and offer some sort of alternative, as a deposit paying customer. Seems not! LR have DS's for two event days only, before they relocate to the next dealer.

If everyone waited until they could get a look and feel for the real thing instead of throwing money at dealers to be the first in the queue on the road, the perhaps LR would have to try harder, but as they have enough orders till this time next year, why bother my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

Those of us that have thrown money at dealers have had a look and feel of the real thing or should have. I waited for the Evoque and it was never ending delays, those that got there first missed all that and with a D4 fast running out of warranty and been a constant headache I can't afford to hang around. New car arrives March D4 warranty runs out end of April, currently I'm 10th in my dealers que.

Was in the dealers today to get a brochure and got the virtual demo of the car. What it is there is a box on the showroom floor and you look at it through these binocular things and the DS appears in the show, walk forward and the doors open, seats slide forward etc, pretty cool but I did feel a plank walking around the showroom looking at a box.

J77, they are probably compiling a video diary for YouTube of LR people wandering around aimlessly in search of the DS dream! Life is not a dress rehearsal! |
