Time to fit the winter tyres??

I appreciate this comes from one of the worst papers ever printed (the Daily Mail is a close second) but a fair few others are now jumping on the cold winter warning!

Don't believe anything that has James Madden quoted. He's an incompetent clown and as he charges for his forecasts, pretty much a con artist.

He predicts and they print the same Censored every year. Last winter we saw the coldest winter for 100 years headline and ended up with relentless mild. A broken clock is right twice a day so he will keep on spouting the same crap and if he is proven right one day, he will boast how accurate he is and gloss over all the one's he got wrong.

I've had my winter tyres on for about 3 weeks now. Had temps up to 13C and they are still ok, its not like they suddenly drop to bits. Much better yesterday morning though with a good frost.

It will get milder again this weekend but fog and frost are due early December apparently. LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

Got mine put on this morning by a local garage as only had the tyres no rims, consistently under 7c on my way to and from work now so shall see what difference they make.

Admittedly will be hard to tell going from 3.5mm Wranglers to new tyres...
