Steering wheel control for radio presets

Hi all ....

I have a April 2008 build Diesel SE Freelander2

Having trouble with using the Steering wheel buttons for radio presets.
The manual (page 71) says the skip button on the steering wheel can be used to jump through radio presets (push and release) or to scan through frequencies for next station (push and hold). Regardless of how quick I release, mine only seems to scan frequencies.

Wondering if others with an SE is the same, or if there's something obvious I'm stupidly missing?

my SE never scans freq from the steering wheel only the presets, but i have not tried to push and hold

Might be the obvious thing, have programed your presets into the radio on buttons Question Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

me too ...

I have the same issue as robney, if I use the wheel mounted controls to change channels all it ever does is scan which is useless. Its another of those niggling problems that I know will never get fixed.

Still, less than a year to go with this motor now. Thumbs Up

mine scans the presets after the initial press which scans back to the channel I was already on Banging Head.

Is there a menu in the radio which lets you chose either freq's or presets ,never looked but other cars have had this menu? At work

Thanks ... yes, presets do have stations stored. Looks like I'll see what the dealer has to say.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact we only get the basic radio in our AU spec SE? I am pretty sure it is the same radio the UK gets in the base 's' version that doesn't have streering wheel controls as standard? any 'S' owners that can confirm?

Just looked at the ozzy website it seems you do get the standard radio but it would be same as the GS over here with steering control.
I also noticed auto is standard for you guys, no manual available? also sat nav is an option on both your SE and HSE (but you only live in a small country anyway Rolling Eyes ) At work
