Scotland 2011 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Indus Silver
2011 Freelander 2 XS

Hi all,
Bit of help
I thought/assumed after having a few freelander 2 nows, this age and spec would have a 6 disc changer?
What were the options with this, was it an extra? Stuck a disc in and see the little black circle, went to stick another in and no go! Cant remember ever having 1 like this!!
Whats my options?
Can i replace the head unit with a 6 disc version?
Is there somewhere to put a usb with music on it?
Is there possibly a 6 disc changer else where?
Can I upgrade to have more speakers etc...
Think it does say Alpine if I remember correctly on the door speakers
Not sure best option to improve here??
Regards Regards

6 CD autochangers were an optional extra on 2011 MY Freelander 2 CS models as was DAB.
System is an Alpine one and in theory it would be possible to replace it with a 6 CD option without too much problem.
No USB facility on 2011 Freelander although you could connect an MP3/IPod etc through the Aux connector but it only gives limited functionality.

I think if you try the Search function you might find other posts about upgrading the sound system but not sure without checking.

Thanks guys, don't think it has 1, I remember the last time you could put one in then press 2 and keep loading.
May be an option to put a 6 disc version in as looks the same externally I think Regards

If you have the Six disc Radio, on the Radio Display you should have six dots with the numbers 1 to 6 displayed below, if you haven't it is the single disc version.

Not sure, but think if you do a search on here, It has been said that the Head Unit is locked to the Vin, so it's not a straightforward swap.
