Same thing was mentioned in our house yesterday.

Why not let them?.....well, how about the fact that they ripped apart the plastic mounts when changing one of mine (was dressed up to go out in evening and needed not to get dirty or I would've done it myself!). Headlight wobbled all over the place so temp fix using my trusty roll of duct tape! They replaced the entire unit at their cost after much moaning from me - but they didn't even realise the mount could be bought separately (my independent garage replaced cracked one on other headlamp for total parts cost of just over £5 compared with the £250+ Halfrauds paid to a LR dealer for a new unit).
