dash cams

Been looking at dash cams a while now but didn't fancy paying the £200 plus price. Spotted the Transcend DrivePro 200 and made my mind up to buy it at under £90. Then strolling through COSTCO the other day I came across a yada dash cam for £ 49.99 so I thought i would take a punt and buy it. Here's a still from the vid......
Not sure how to post a vid of the footage otherwise i would.

Does it have the likes of GPS? And any photos of the unit and installation?

Might be good as a rear view cam ? Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Is it this one?

How long was the wire that came with it? Long enough to hide out of sight around the side of the screen?
Thanks,
Tom

Hi Tom, yes it's the one. The wire is about 3ft long but it can run on it's own charge.

That's the bit that interests me i do mainly short journeys and hate wires trailing around. The picture quality looks good.

Thanks for the reply iam looking to hardwire one in. I am in Thailand at the mo and there's lots here for sale starting at £20 but I think for £50 I will wait and grab that one from costco. I take it it uses a mini USB connection? If so I will just buy a long lead from the bay and wire it into the fuse box.

Most use 5v, not the 12v you will get from the fuse box

The USB plug in phone chargers can be modified to hard wire in to your 12v supply, that's the easy way as they are cheap. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
