United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Auto Santorini Black

Reminds me of the time when I worked for Sir Alfred McAlpine when they owned the quarry at Blaenau Ffestiniog.
I was taking my caravan to Anglesey and decided to go via the quarry to see a fellow engineer who had been transferred to work at Blaenau and had promised to show by daughters the state cutting and splitting works.

We turned off the A470 onto the entrance track complete with caravan in tow and were frantically waved down by one of the workers who wanted to know were we where going, so with a dead pan look I asked "Is this not the road to Bangor then?"
Must admit he did see the funny side of it when I explained what we were there for, and the girls did get to have a go at slate splitting and also to go to the view point to see the bottom of the quarry which is one very very deep hole.

It's been 30 odd years since I first had a fry up and a pint mug of tea in Pete's, they still don't come any better. Bow down

As Llanberis is usually only a place I pass through on the way to and from Welsh forests for rally's had not come across "Pete's Eats" so looked it up on Google. Will definitely be stopping next time.

Pete's Eats is amazing, used to go there a lot when climbing. Sadly don't allow dogs inside else we'd be in there a lot more when walking in the area.
