Car started on the button as expected, within 2 minutes was fully defrosted, and off I went, warm, happy and contented with Heated Seats and the now infamous Heated Steering Wheel working a treat, making the journey into Leamington an absolute pleasure!

Anyone else get a crisp start this morning? Foraging near Gaydon....

3.5 degrees north of Birmingham and the first 'chill' of the year for my X3.

One criticism I had with my old FL2 was that it took ages for the interior to warm up - made heated seats essential for those cold mornings. My X3 warms up much quicker as do the heated seats (had to switch them off after 5 min) and the heated steering wheel is a delight (funny how we all mock the heated steering wheel but now having had one I wouldn't have another car without it!)

Only negative I have with the X3 is that the wing mirror glass takes an age to clear whereas the FL2 was much quicker.

You haven't missed anything Maffy, unlike AD2357664456 who misses his Freelander, or you would think so as he spends sooo much time on here harking back to the good old days

The PROG button turns on the heated screens and PTC ceramic heater, the aircon and airflow is controlled to give maximum heating in as short a time as possible for the cabin, couple of minutes and it's all warm

It's a ceramic heater that sits in the heater ducts and works in a similar manner to a hairdryer

While you are waiting 'Maffy', go to LandRover Topix and read the owners manual electronically
