Folding mirror motor replacement?

Has anyone replaced just the motor in their folding wing mirrors?

I ask as my nearside mirror no longer folds back - it tries and gives up after a mm or 2 of movement... Big Cry

I've previously replaced the entire mirror with a s/h replacement following a white van man incident a year ago.

The housing and glass are still fine, so would be good to re-use them if I can, and save a few £ too. Thumbs Up

I did a search here but nothing on this showed up, if I missed it, please point me the right way!

Ta!

Not many mirrors have been changed, they are pretty reliable but do, seem to truggle a bit when the temps fall, usually lubrication is all that you need.

I've lubed them, but think it's a mechanical problem- when folding the assembly completely forward, there's a bit of metal showing that looks sheared rather than smoothly finished- not like on the drivers side...

Not sure you can actually get the motor that powers the fold, may also depend on which year yours is, but you don't show which model and year you have Confused
