Sad news...

It's not all fun and sunshine out here in 4wd wonderland.

If you know someone planning a trip out here please warn them. This happens a lot and it is always foreign backpackers who are the victims. My condolences to the young girls family.

i have just read the news report, sounds like a few accident happen, broken ribs, snake bites etc

The road on the picture looked quite tame apart from the dip to one side, i wonder what they were trying to do to flip Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

The details are sketchy but the area is famous for backpacker 20 somethings renting four wheel drives, flipping them over and killing themselves. This one was different in that it was an organised tour apparently. Still, 8 people in a Landcruiser is pretty crowded. The poor girl was probably an innocent passenger.
