Sounds like the dealer may be getting his act together. Regarding the tyres - Pirellis are clearly quality tyres. The Goodyears standard on my GS were however still perfectly usable at 44,000 miles and I found them great in all conditions including the really hard winter we had a few years back when I could not fault them in deep snow on fields and lanes. I wanted the same when I thought they should be retired but Goodyear changed the name to "Efficient Grip". I personally would rather have lots of grip rather than efficient grip but these ones seem to be much the same and are not even half worn at 20,000 miles.

Pump pressure is required to engage the Haldex clutch (and thus rear drive), however, it never fully disengages so I think you'd end up with about 90/10 torque split. Certainly not 50/50 - with no centre diff that would result in transmission wind-up and be pretty obvious! |

Not an exception at all, the dreaded "reduced traction" has been seen by many owners and is well posted. If there is a difference, it's that they normally change the sensor first and only move onto the pump if still not resolved. |
