There are still a few around. Guy Salmon in Maidstone rang me today as they have just acquired an unregistered Black with Ivory. They also have a few Pre - regs too. (Past) Freelander 2 HSE 2010 MY In Rimini Red.

There are a few delivery mileage (0-10) Metroplis' on the bay at the moment around £31k. If the Dealer is still making a margin selling at that price, ie £4k off list, it begs the question as to what deals JLR are giving the Dealers to shift the old stocks. Foraging near Gaydon....

Excluding the R&D, promotions, advertising, LR and dealer profit, just pure nuts and bolts, I suspect it's somewhere under £10k. No different from any other manufacturer that said. |

Well I know that JLR make a minimum of £26k for every Range Rover Sport built. That info has come from within JLR! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come......... |

Difficult to put an exact number on as it will vary by market. For example some markets have low margins due to having to incentive the purchase whereas others you can just add 000 onto the price. |

I'm not sure what LR make but to get an idea of the sums that can be made have a look at Jeep prices in the States. Last time I looked, UK prices were almost double. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

These sorts of questions are very difficult even for the manufacturer to answer. Included are things like depreciation on buildings and equipment which can be spread across a number of years and models plus research and development costs which can be spread over as number of models too It also depends on how much profit the company wants to make and tax to pay in different markets (yes they decide before hand). You can give a figure but its never the whole story. As an example what would you do about the new £500m engine plant in Wolverhampton? |

I would be questioning why, what have they done to it to warrant stalling delivery, bumped it perhaps? |
