Whilst the manufacturers do tweak the prices to suit the region/country where it is to be sold, the major difference for most is simply tax on top of the car.

And then you have to consider cost of ownership, maybe the new cost of cars in Norway is crazy but the second hand prices must be up there too? When I have been to the USA I have seen huge depots full of second hand cars at cheap prices so over there maybe they buy cheap but sell even cheaper?
