pastmaster - i should although working in HHeath is convenient for one of blackcircles fitters. just checked the ajs website and a wrangler is £148 fitted. blackcircles were £136 fitted then a further discount of £20 for having four so that was £525 all in; how does anybody compete with these people? i did also check my local elite who told me they couldn't buy the tyres for the fitted price that i was being offered!

Try Asda tyres I just checked and Wrangler 235/65R17 108H £123 just put your vehicle reg in and it comes up with a range of tyres including Wranglers. I have used this and it works fine.

How indeed an anyone compete with that? It may be though that they don't do the specialist tyres like Wintracs. Regarding your "diff noise", yes the Wranglers do get very noisy below about 4mm. I've been through a couple of sets and noticed this each time. Currently on Pirellis, but about to switch to the Wintracs before it gets too cold to work outside. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone
