I believe it is correct, I previously thought that it would need activating, however, it turns out that all that is needed is the spring and, I think, a feed.

Thanks Paul, but without the heated part, would the all the controls on the new wheel work as they do on my current wheel.

Not sure on the controls as the MY14 cars have a different electrical system.

You don't need it activated and there is or was in later models, an electrical connector wrapped in grey foam behind the Clockspring top.

Sort of annoyed, when I chopped in my FL, I left the heated wheel and Clockspring in it. I've got an ordinary Napa one with controls sitting in my garage that I will have to flog. Not get quite so much for it.

Thanks for that, after a lot of forum reading I was beginning to draw a similar conclusion.

Between differing model years, the switches will present problems, although there are work arounds. See the Disco site. My one was really just a replacement SW with heat so I didn't have the difficulties.

Quote Legoman: "The heated element however is straightforward even between model years. It only needs a power and earth source. There are plenty of retrofits on the Disco site that have even avoided a new clock spring and having a spare power plug."
