Hi all,

After releasing my handbrake, I often hear a rythmetic squeak as the wheels turn, as if the handbrake hasn't fully disengaged properly and is still rubbing in one place (usually reversing). A quick pull-and-release of the handbrake as I drive sorts the issue, but obviously this doesn't solve the underlying issue.

Handbrake cables were replaced 10000 miles ago along with shoes, discs and all the release gear.

My best bet is the need to be liberally apply some copper grease around the release springs. Thoughts?

Check the Pivot Linkage, could be stiff or seizing in the Drums, Adjustment, also check that the Shoes are still bonded ok.
