Battery corossion

I was topping up the wife's screen wash today and noticed this

I've looked on the net and there seems to be a few ways of dealing with it, using baking soda, pouring coke on it etc. Does anyone know of a good way of sorting it so the corrosion doesn't happen again? I was told when a lad to coat the terminals in Vaseline, is there anything better out there?

Thanks all Thumbs Up Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

I think some places use that white lithium grease spray, years ago Vaseline was widely used.

Hot water will shift the cack Thumbs Up

Its the wifes car, I was just filling the screenwash bottle. To be honest I cant remember last time the oil was checked, probably not since it was serviced in April. Black MY2013 SD4 GS Auto, Wood Company Armrest, Freel2 sticker.

Strange way of thinking...
I for one, I'm checking my lady's car often than mine...
