Note! only one marshal in sight before crash standing with hands in pockets alongside the motorhome, and only one who looks like a marshal in yellow bib wandering round after the crash with hands in pockets doing naff all to clear the road.

Also note the motorhome parked right on the apex of the corner which could have been wiped out if the rally car had gone straight on.

In the UK the motorhome would have been parked a minimum of 30 metres back from the corner with the area taped off to form a 5 metre by 5 metre box area prohibited to all marshals/spectators. and a minimum of 4 marshals allocated to the junction.

Also the area were the spectators (AKA Idiots) where sitting would have been designated a Non Spectator area taped off and with Prohibition Notices to reinforce the rule.

I am sure Pegleg is continuing his reccy to find you a safe but rewarding place to spectate.

Indeed Bill Thumbs Up
Where we stood last year was above the course level and on the inside of a bend. Was also an official spectator area.
A local farmer (Taz and Nick both met him) whose field adjoins the forest, stood on the outside of the same bend on the Sunday.
A large piece of stone from the course was thrown up from a car and took a chunk out of his tibia, ouch
Painful lesson learnt. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.

On a photographic note, do not forget (as per last year) that for pictures to be commercial, they need to show the completion number of the car.
This on Rally GB, is normally a medium size sticker on the bonnet and tailgate plus a larger door plate sticker and the main Yellow/Orange number on the rear side window.

Taz isn't to fond of 'panning' techniques.
This is due to the 'Delirium Tremens' from the night before.
