Claying the car has removed small spots of sap from mine in the past. I've also heard that turpentine is good for removing sap - must be real turps, not substitute - apparently it's produced from some tree product or other and is therefore a natural solvent for sap. Not tried it myself though. |

i parked under a tree for 2 weeks and the sap was very bad

It depends how long it's been there too - sap hardens over time, so fresh sap is easy to remove, sap which has had time to harden much less so. |

the sap was there for over 2 week, as it appeared on day one and i was onsite for 2 weeks, then it was the following weekend when i set too cleaning it

I have heard (but not tried it) that WD40 is excellent at removing sap and tar. For the latter, I use Autoglym Tar Remover, but would be interested to see if anyone has any success with aforementioned WD40 on tree sap. Foraging near Gaydon....

hi, recently left my car at Gatwick airport , which on return 1 week later was covered in tree sap and aviation oil residue, car parked close to flight path.

I have used wd40 on tar .. Removed it without much work or effort, I would give it a go on sap Do it now ! Your a long time dead !! |
