Not sure why you needed to change the Bluetooth module, pairing my S5 with 2007 worked first time with no modifications.

My sympathies

I too have a 2007 model and experienced similar problems when initially trying to get my mobile phone to pair properly to display names, numbers and enable proper volume on speech received and sent . I tried about five different phones and in the end found that the Nokia 6100 was the only one that would pair and sync seamlessly. I recently tried to pair two other more up to date mobiles but neither worked properly so I'm stuck with using a mobile which went out with the ark.

As ever, the LR dealer was totally useless in his advice and recommendations limited as they were.

Try using the Bluetooth compatibility page on the Land Rover website.

http://landrover50.nextgen-technology.net/...Culture=en

It will show which phones are fully compatible with your vehicle.

Thanks. I have in fact recently downloaded this info so hopefully it will help in choosing something compatible. Also worth mentioning is that the phone model "build version" is also important as even though you may have a LR listed phone/model it still may not be fully functional unless the phone build is also compatible.

Interesting. I have just changed from a 2007 XS where Bluetooth would not work with a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini - very frustrating. My new 2010 XS works and synchronises with this phone first time. Hadn't thought of putting in a newer bluetooth module into an older car...this is a good tip for others.
