If they are worn fair enough, but I've never heard of them being replaced as a matter of course. |

I suspect you have been told this because the drop links can be a bit of a pain to get off and need a bit of care and time. Much easier to butcher them off and fit new ones! John

Just taken the front and rear struts off and back on my 2009 Freelander 2 to fit suspension spacers.

I would fit new drop links as when i replaced my shocks last year before my mot. When i picked up the car from mot i found i had a advisory for the lower rear drop link access movement. I then replace all the drop links front and rear as there not expensive but what a difference road handling was better and no body roll. |

If anyone has had difficulty finding replacement shocks see the attached link where they stock genuine Delphi units as fitted from new.
