swapping seats...wiring and memory modules

Looking to upgrade to a newer 2010 model Freelander xs, but the seats are not to my taste.

I can source and retrofit leather memory seats with armrests from a 2007 model. These have the 3 way memory function which the 2010 model does not have. I know that physically they will fit, however have the following concerns about wiring:

1. Does the Car central computer need to be reprogrammed to recognise memory seats?
2. Do I have to fit a memory module as well
3. is the wiring likely to be pre-fitted to an XS model (on the basis that his was an available upgrade at the time of manufacture?).

detailed questions I know, but you never know, someone on here may have already done this.

I know I could just re-trim existing seats in leather and add armrests, but this comes to nearly 2k and I have access to a perfectly good set of seats already, just want to swap them

Thanks in advance for input

May I resurrect this thread and ask the question again.

It's just the drivers seat that looks as though it may be a problem.

1. Can memory seats be retrofitted to a non-memory seat car? what other components needed?

or

2. Could the old 4 way electric drivers seat base be kept and just change the seat back (as it has an armrest integral) and seat squab?

Appreciate any help / guidance

thanks

If you try a search on here, iirc there was a thread where a member had purchased a new Freelander 2 from the Dealer, it should have had Heated Seats but somehow it was omitted at the factory.

Cant help on your other questions but, other than it won't be easy if it is possible.

Edit: Found it.
