Stereo Choices

I have a 2010 GS with the Apline head unit, with Bluetooth.

I am currently trying to decide what route to go down in terms of audio connectivity.

I have a Windows Phone at present (which I love) which is my current music source, however only via 3.5mm aux. I also hVe a Griffin ipod control thing which gives better audio quality with my old iPod touch. However, the touch is too old to get the apps I use for audio streaming.

The options I see are:

1. Shut up
2. Get a new iPod touch and stick with the Griffin thing
3. Get a new touch and the Land Rover iPod connection kit allowing me to use the steering controls to skip track
4. Get a new head unit which allows Bluetooth streaming and stick with my current phone.

On point 4, does anyone know if there are any third party head units which a) don't look bloody stupid and b) allow use of the steering controls?

What would you do?

Thanks all.

If you have parking sensors option four gets complicated!

I had the ipod connection kit in my GS which cost over £300 from a stealer. The sound quality was fantastic and I also left a 16GB memory stick in all the time with loads of tunes on. I ran the ipod lead up to my wood company arm rest to make it more accessible.

Im selling the kit on here if you are interested:

I do have parking sensors.

It was your item for sale that made me ask the question actually. That kit plus a new ipod is still pricey though. Technically don't have the money for either just now ;-(
