"Mobile Ring Tone" - what gives?

So, I'm curious... there is an option in the phone setup on the LR2 (2008 with the Alpine system) that allows you to set the ring tones for incoming calls. One of the options is "Mobile Ring Tone" which I assume means that it uses the phones ring tone. So, does that mean it copies the ring tone to the radio or that it only rings on the phone?

When I choose that option, nothing happens - I press the knob for 'Ok' and it goes back to the ringtone screen with the "Car Ring Tone 1" still checked off. Ideas?

Don't take this the wrong way but is your handset on silent? From a time when dinosaurs weren't just confined to zoos!

"Did you turn it off and on?"

Yeah, I double-checked that!
