Hi Guys,
I know this probably been asked before but when its only pension cash available I would like to be reasonably sure.............

Heko or Climair for wind deflectors ??? has anyone any long term useage of either ?? I would like honest opinions please, seein as how they never come up used I would like to be sure.

I had climair on my D2 for years and they were very good no problems at all ,I now have the heko on my freelander 2 and they are just as good and at only about £30 a set they are good value for money.

Ditto, I've had Heko ones for 6 months or so, they were cheap yet look remarkably good, and haven't fallen off yet! Having said that, they don't completely eliminate the wind buffeting noise, but the certainly reduce it considerably.

I Have the Climair ones fitted no issues easy install and look neat and discreet. I've got EGR ones fitted on my FL1 and FL2 and they are very very good! Egr make the genuine sets for LR but sell their own indentical version without the Land Rover logos for £50 a set now  MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

(Past) RR Evoque Dynamic Lux Si4 In Firenze Red.
(Past) RR Evouque Pure Tech in Barollo Black with bespoke Firenze Red colour coding.
(Present) Freelander Metropolis 2015 MY In Santorini Black with Ivory Premium Leather.

I have a set of quality aftermarket tints (UV), just wondering these would be safe?
I'm in the UK at the moment (Glasto)so I can take them back with me you see..

possibly worth mentioning here that some cheap wind deflectors are an extreme hazard to pedestrians and cyclists. These are made from materials which effectively turn into scimitars when they hit the body of a person in an accident. The two mentioned earlier are safe.

also, believe it or not, some insurance companies require you to inform them of any exterior modification.

My insurance Allianz asked if I had changed the wheels. Also they simple assumed I bought the car to tow & wanted to know what tow bar was fitted. I said there is NO tow bar & I have NO intention of fitting a tow bar & I had to repeat what I said as they didn't seem to understand!

They wanted to know if there were any accessories & what dollar value to the next whole dollar. I was already prepared & had a list of all the items including seat covers. They said they were expensive, I said they are Land Rover seat covers & are made specifically for the car & is was probably to do with air bags as the seat cover had air bag warning tags on the side of them.

So I have all the fitted accessories listed on my insurance, including window wind deflectors.

Fire extinguisher, fluro vests (2) & gloves for changing tyres (because of far too many flat tyres), 300 amp (continuous load) jumper leads not on the list!

Got my window deflectors from LRparts. They are still basically new, the car gets its first service near the end of the year.
