2011 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Galway Green

First tow . .

Having owned the car for just over a week now - detachable Witter tow bar fitted, took my other little 'toy' out to see the 3 lancasters at East Kirkby on Sunday . . car tows like a dream!! I had to keep using the brakes and remind myself I'm not in defender anymore lol . .

Nah mate, it's a Dominie (similar age and style to Jetstream) and yes, I do got to the event at Newark (I struggle to call it cockpitfest as my youngest referred to it once as 'sounding like gayfest' lol . . . )

It weighs in at around the 1 ton mark - although still got a few bits and bobs to fit, so will hopefully top at 1.2 max!! Still well within the limit and capability of this superb vehicle!! I even overtook yesterday!!! lol

Wow, small world!

This is my Hunter on display at Cockpitfest 2008...

The restoration project has ground to a halt in recent times after a house move though, so I've never towed it with the FL2.

Indeed. Although you have to very careful to pronounce it clearly otherwise it sounds like a group of people who get together to show off their...er...oh, never mind!

Held by Newark Air Museum. A gathering of historical aircraft cockpits and other related aircraft memorabilia. This year's Cockpitfest was 14/15th June. There were over 22 cockpits & cockpit rigs displayed, plus you can see the museum! The museum also hosts many single interest groups by arrangement. We could even arrange a Freelander 2 day I guess, with photos in front of the Vulcan!

I have annual membership, but still don't get to go there enough!

My mate just up the road East North East from you is restoring to full airworthiness a Fokker Wolf - his employees and very close friends refer to him as Capt. Chaos but believe me, that Fokker will fly again
