Indie in central Scotland/Stirlingshire

Would like to know if anyone has used any indies in the Stirling area for general repairs/servicing.

I k ow of Lix Tull (not sure if that's the right spelling) and there's an LR specialist near Larbert, but have never used any before. I have spoken to MMP who is happy to service but he is pretty far away so not sure of suitability for general repairs if need done quickly.

Thanks.

Strathearn Engineering have a very good reputation, used to sponsor the forum, but I don't know why they stopped ?

check out their website : www.strathearnengineering.com

Thanks for that. They are 20 miles from me so not terribly far.

A friend of mine had a freelander 1 1.8 petrol , had trouble with it. Called the company above .. She could virtually see their premises from her house . They came and took the car away . Said it was x,y , z wrong with it . "Fixed" at near £2k .. Not long later same things wrong with it , they didn't want to know ,
Personal yo wouldn't go near them . Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Yeah, I've actually spoken to him about servicing costs. But as he is based in Dundee I'm not sure of the logistics of getting something fixed quick. Not just nipping up the road for me or down for him.

Yeah it was the usual overheating , engine had to be skimmed and rebuilt . Within 3 months the car was overheating again . She took it back and they didn't want to know . She had to trade the car in to get shot of it . Do it now ! Your a long time dead !!

Ah right, it's the one at Auchterarder! I drive past there taking my daughter to gymnastics. Full of Defenders Smile The appeal of MMP I suppose is that he can come to me, which is really helpful as I look after my 2 young kids so no disruption for them.

Never knew I was being discussed over here, until David mentioned it

I am Mike, of MMP Land Rover. Currently a sponsor of Disco3/Disco4 + RRSport Thumbs Up

Would just like to clarify, this was nothing to do with me, and I would like to distance myself from it, incase there is any confusion:
