Which battery?

Hi just wondered what car battery's you guys could recommend for my 07 hse. Would you stick with land rover only or are there aftermarket ones which are better?

Does Mrs Pinks now about Tanya Whistle

I started with battery issues on my last one, after 3 years, never had battery problems in 25 years, the Freelander must hammer it.

Yes, there is a clamp bolt by the side of the battery by the red cable in my photo. Note also the vent pipe at the front of the battery. You need to fit this. There will be a blanking plug in the hole when you get the battery. John

This is on my ever growing todo list. Going for the exide 85 800 as pictured up top

The freelander does forsure hammer the battery, you unlock the car the lights flash, elec mirrors open, puddle lights come on, all the lights inside turn on, engine/ ecu does its lets start turning electrics on, you open the door and another puddle light turns on, you put the key in and that sucks its self in, you then hit the start button which in turn starts using way more power to crank the motor, then she starts and turns on the glow plugs which is sapin the power before you even start to retop up any power in the battery Thumbs Up

If you think how many of the 5 watt lights there are it soon adds up ( 10 little lights? )

2 mirror lights
2 puddle lights
2 foot well lights
glove box light ( dosnt come on until you open it )
Front over head light
Rear over head light
Boot light Freelander 57 plate XS Blue Auto

There is no need to worry about 5W filaments, powerfold mirrors, ecu drain etc.
It's somewhat insignificant as the starter motor draws several hundred amps during cranking. Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
