Looks great and from the car configurator on the landrover website, there are some very tasty options. Particularly like the laser heads-up display, 360 camera system and dual-view screen. Some very innovative stuff.

Still think I'll wait to see what the Defender replacement will be like. Would like a car smaller than the DS, 3 doors and lots of boot space. The DS does look good though, much better than the concept version they put out a few months back.

just had a good look at the builder on the LR website

personally think it ticked all my boxes, bar one, the price

Discovery Sport HSE LUX came home at 」52,197.90 with Configured options: 」9,202.90

i suppose i could do with out a lot of the options and save 」7-8K

good news on the towing side of things though with a max 2200kg Bow down Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

i could drop to the HSE and come in at 」45,897.90 if its just the required items

but keeping with the desired HSE Lux then 48,863.90 options: 」5,868.90

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Lago Grey

I can put together a just-about-acceptable spec for under 」38K, bearing in mind I'd want a 5-seat manual and can put up with things like manual seats as I'm the only person who'd drive it. But that still feels too much for that spec.

I seem to be in a minority but I don't like the design - too bland, and a Land Rover style stepped roof would have given much better load capacity. It's like a big and slightly clumsy Evoque, with overtones of all the other look-alike 4x4s out there. LR have missed an opportunity to make it stand out from the crowd.

It'll sell, no doubt, but probably not to me!

Happy with an HSE which came in at a bit over 」40,000 so price is what you would expect against the competition. My contract hire runs out late next year and so I am hoping the new engines might be in by then as CO2 at 166g/km means that BIK for me as a company car is still too high so hoping the new ones are a lot cleaner and economical. Have just done about 3500 miles in my FL2 in the last month and spent just under 」700 on diesel a bit more fuel economy would be appreciated!

Their are some third party reviews stating a full size spare wheel , yet not in the options, there does not seem to be an opening sun roof and the maximum nose weight has dropped to 100kgs. The last indicates there is some weakness in the new suspension, that was always a freely plus, removes the option to tow and carry cycles on the bar. my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis
2012 HSE SD4 In Orkney Grey now gone, best car ever.

not noticed the nose weight, that does cause some issues for those who need the full FL2 ammount Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Poland 2014 Freelander 2 2.0T HSE Auto Santorini Black

Oh no...

doesn't look like Land Rover the off roader. Yet another Evoque (lamps, bonnet). Will Land Rover company be as German producers, every car will look the same? Yet another SUV with with Asian like solid

Approach, departure and breakover angles worse than Freelander 2. I can't see solid offroad tow ring.

It has no boxy body but with Si4 engine is only 0,6sec faster to 100kph.

Discovery DNA? Where is low gear or differential lock? Jeep Cherokee is able (similar price segment).

Leather lunar like colours of S&SE versions are awful. Must get black leather or go to HSE to have light interior.

Scotland 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 Dynamic Auto Indus Silver

Looks nice, very nice...
But isn't the body shape just a slightly modified RRS? Confused
While the RRS is also nice, I was expecting something that is strikingly different, like the FL2 is against the Disco 4.
However, having recently bought a nearly new fully loaded FL2 Dynamic for a bargain, I'll pass on this for the time being.
But that won't stop me from visiting my local dealer to have a look once he gets them in. Smile

Out with the old (2007 SE)
In with the new (2012 Dynamic with everything). Now also gone.

Looks nice but after the disappearance of the FL2 you are going to have to part with 」33,000 to get behind the wheel of the cheapest entry level Land Rover Big Cry
