Why not a Porsche Cayenne in grey - then you will have the best of both worlds 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof. Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc. |

I wouldn't fancy taking a Porsche to many of the customer sites I go to, but also the LR2 is my work vehicle, (Long story, but I own it, and its all paid off, but its a company car so to speak) where as the Porsche will be the toy.
I'm too impatient and spoilt to wait for a new one to arrive, plus once I spec it up to add all of the options this red one has on it I'd be looking at another 10 grand on the new price It's got all sorts of go faster buttons on the dashboard, but not having bluetooth phone connection sucks! BUT I guess the 320 +/- bhp (Porsche sport exhaust and dealer chipped) and perfect weight balance makes up for that 7 cleans a week and there'll definately be no paint left on it after 6 months!! |

Silver or Grey is a good choice in a Porsche, however as my LR2 is grey and the wife said it had to be either yellow or red for me to have it, red it is! It's a sports car so I honestly think the brighter the better....within reason. Anyway I'll post some pics this week hopefully....if everything goes to plan! |

Definately the best colour for any MG in my humble opinion! The only issue I have with the brighter reds is the swirl marks which generally appear from washing, but then I guess a good detail by a shop should do teh trick every 6 months or so. Once you've tasted GREY you'll never go back! |

I have now discovered that washing with car conditioner, rinsing with filtered/softened water and drying with silicone blade means no swirls - avoid chamois at all costs |

i would use a Large micro fibre drying cloth instead of the blade, if you trap a missed piece of grit, your going to scratch the car.

I find the blade pulls a layer of water that lubricates the blade so no scratches yet If you have missed a piece of grit won't the MF cloth scratch too |
