I've noticed something too, Toeknee links to Flickr and the pics are not compressed, the quality is still there.
I might try a few that way myself, for more important photos rather than the direct upload.

I have uploaded some uncompressed shots to Photobucket but due to our slow Broadband speed, it takes some time.
I've heard reports that Flickr is better quality.
Anyone confirm this? Another member of the failed FL2 clutch/DMF club, twice.
