2013 LR2 2.0T SE Auto Fuji White
Had her off road for 1st time

Had our new (to us as of last week) '13 LR2 off road for the 1st real time today. First impressions are:
- turbo lag not a factor off-road
- very compliant suspension (wife & 2 month old remained asleep for most of the ride)
- snow/grass setting was adequate for most conditions we encountered (even a river crossing!)
- electronic e-brake is annoying if you're used to the old-school lever like me

yes, you are quite correct. But remember that this is a road car that can go off-road, and not an off-road vehicle that can go on the highway.
as such the bias is aimed towards comfort, road holding and fuel consumption.
Considering the fact that at 160 km /hr it has impeccable road manners (like any upmarket road car), it's quite capable and amazing off-road too !

Agreed, but you know, I had a chance to test drive it against the Porsche Macan, & I gotta say that the LR2's no sports car either. Even the GLK, X3, & Q5 are much superior on-road. It's when the slab ends that the LR2 excels!

Was able to lift a leg on a pretty gnarly stretch of greenway covered in a fresh inch of snow. No traction or clearance issues at all. This vehicle's capabilities continue to impress me the longer I own it.

look at my photos

Wow, impressive, especially considering that those tires don't look like they have much more than just M+S tread.

Unfortunately my LR2 also has to function as our everyday family vehicle so I can't afford to fill it with water or roll it. Otherwise I'd love to try some gnarlier stuff like you do. Bow down

Your limits are probably your tyres, the ground clearance, and most importantly, your nerve! Had mine in some very soft ground recently and even on road bias tyres it got through no problems Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014
