With the brittle plastic throttle flaps our FL's have, I think revving it past the redline (if you were able to) would possibly do more harm than good! Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

I read somewhere max 5000rpm on this engine, but it max out at 4850rpm in the ECU. I agree with Steve D - don't do it! |

think its a good idea to giveem a good run once a month or so to clear out the damp caused by short runs so getting a good run at speed but holding it in the higher revs for a short period NOT REDLINING IT gets a good pump of oil to the bits that need it and at temperature to ensure a good oil and clean at same time |
