Land Rover are still fitting them as OEM tyres on Freelanders with 17 inch wheels. More importantly they are still shown on the Goodyear website:

Agree Wranglers are still available, just fitted a set of General Grabber GTs at £105 each all in which are worth considering. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock.

I've just had 4 new 17inch Wranglers fitted on the high street. £120 and not mention of supply issues. Mine are only 8 weeks old from the date codes on the side walls so if they've stopped making them, it's pretty recently ! FL2 2007 57 GS

Pretty sure this was what I was told last year here in Australia. I ended up putting Pirelli Scorpions on, which are much quieter on my 17inch rims. 1st time FL2 owner. 2007 SE i6 in Tambora Flame. |

Try another Tyre Dealer, the larger chains are backed by a certain Tyre Manufacturer, Michelin it's ATS, so they will push you towards Michelin. NTS was at one time owned by Continental. |

Pure personal preference - Grabber. Looks just right on the wheels, grips well on wet slimy tarmac. Don't know what they're like on snow (don't often get any). Ours - 2008 Stornoway Grey HSE Auto

Just discovered ASDA tyres, you order online without paying and they send you to a local tyre place for fitting. Quoted £120.80 for a 235 65 17 104v Wrangler. Other places in town saying £180 or £150 each if you buy two. |

Only had experience with Wrangler HP AW and Grabber GT not had a problem with either but the GTs are considerable cheaper and come in 108 XL. FL2 SD4 Metropolis Auto Santorini Black / ivory completely stock. It's true that light travels faster than sound, some people look quite intelligent until you hear them speak. Stop global winging. |

The fairly subtle difference between Wrangler and "Efficient Grip" Goodyears was covered on this thread...http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic18503.html

Can recommend Asda for tyres, bought a full set of Michelins for my old 60 reg before I sold it, very good prices and were fitted at my nearest Halfords service centre. MY14 TD4 manual XS Orkney grey.

I have an unused spare and so I need only 3 new tyres to put the Freely back on 10mm of tread after 46k miles. LR dealer has always been close on price to independents and it would be easier to roll this into 48k service for £5 extra per tyre, but he is only quoting to supply Goodyear EfficientSUV when I have Wrangler HP all round now.

Plenty of Goodyear Wrangler HP AW tyres available for multiple sources on line and locally and in my view they are a much better tyre than the Goodyear Efficient SUV.
