Very Sad New to wake too this morning

Grew up with his humour watching Mork and Mindy, his movies Like Good Morning Vietnam and Mrs Doubtfire but a couple of videos of him on stage performing are my most revered memories

Depression strikes and, when it does, it can be devastating. It robs you of any desire to do anything at all. Death seems to be something to aim for, to plan for. But you don't typically tell anyone, even your closest, about these feelings. Then one day, you act on it, to everyone's horror.
I really feel for Robin Williams' family & friends. Very sad he couldn't bear to go on.

Only those that have been touched by one form of depression can truely know what RW was going through inside, trying to keep a outside persona that is strong whilst inside your head is screaming feck it Exclamation to anything and everything, until that day someone who hasn't can only dream about and guess what he must have going through.

I am actually quite impressed at how many people, like myself, who have never met him, but enjoyed his movies and interviews, have come about to say how much they liked him and commented on various forms of social media

Apart From Arnold Schwarzenegger who couldn't resist pluging his new movie at the same time Rolling Eyes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

He was so funny in Mrs Doubtfire, did a brilliant voiceover for the genie in Aladdin and was superbly creepy and sinister in one hour photo. Some great movie memories from an absolute legend. Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby

I never saw Mrs Doubtfire. I thought he was brill in Good Morning Vietnam, but my personal fave by a mile was Dead Poets' Society. Perfect.

Being the comic genius he was Robin Williams probably would want you all to laugh at his final performance, and then, grieve that his cries for help were not heard.

Out of this great tragedy one can only hope that lessons regarding the needs of those suffering massive depression plus other mental and addiction health problems are learnt, and rapidly.

RIP: Sir Christopher Lee

http://news.sky.com/story/1500300/horror-l...es-aged-93

Sad

Sad to hear about the passing of a legendary actor (good innings at 93 though). Dracula was before my time but my dad recalls it well. I know him mostly from watching The Man With The Golden Gun on numerous occasions, Star Wars, LOTR and The Hobbit.

A fine actor Thumbs Up LL.B (Hons) - University of Derby
