United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Tambora Flame

My Stereo 'crashed' yesterday....

I was just driving along and it just stopped.... the display froze (apart from the clock, I think) and none of the buttons worked....

I had to stop the engine to correct it! Anyone else had this?

Back to the quality issue, I'm really not being picky or anything, but the basic stereo, really is cheap and nasty. I had a Mini Cooper S as my last car and the basic stereo in that was great... I'm soooo disapointed with the FL2's basic one.... Why the hell didn't I test the basic one before!!!!

Anyone about to buy one...... TEST, TEST and RE-TEST!!

United States 2007 LR2 TD4 SE Auto Tambora Flame

Hi there,

I had an Acura RDX for two months before the Land Rover...the Acura seemed to be louder, at lower volume settings...what I notice with the Land Rover is that the sound seems to be from the front...I have checked the other speakers out, but doesn't surround that "surround" as was in the Acura. Does the radio appear to be stereo? I like that the Land Rover has the RDS with song data, but even fiddling with volume settings, it all sounds the same from any side. Anyone else have any thoughts?

PS...the radio seemed to die on me once...all buttons stopped working and I had to turn engine off and on.
