I'm now counting down the days till I pick up my new SE TECH, TD4, manual. Finding my self looking for things to add and buy for it already. My car comes with the instant mobility kit, has anyone else managed to swap this for full size spare at dealer after car has arrived at dealer?

Sadly the dealers will charge you a silly price! Your looking at under £600 odd for x1 19" with a tyre. I know this as initially they said my dynamic could not be spec'ed with a full size spare as it had the unique 19" ten spoke dark painted finish alloys which only came on the dynamic and couldn't be spec'ed on other models even as an extra cost option! They said I could have a NCO (no cost option) to select a different style of 19" wheels in sparkle silver and then JLR would allow a full size spare for £185, sounds really daft! They even phoned JLR direct more than once and were told the same thing! Turns out that it was a technical glitch with their system and I did get one with the car for FREE as a good will gesture! Yeah looks like I missed the new order deadlines, had several dealers say they could order the car for me with all the options only to find the computer would not let them anymore as it's now really end of production and colour changes only.
