Front screen wash not working

The front screen wash stopped working on my FR2, I checked the fuse and is ok, there is no motor sound so I assume motor, switch of wiring. As it was due in for a service, I let my LR dealer investigate. They tell me that I need a complete fuse box because there is a relay (built into?) the box which can't be changed, so it must be a new box. It may be because of translation but I get the impression that they were not really sure what it was... Anyway they will now quote me for the repair. They have swapped the rear for the front wash now so front is working which is more important than the rear which makes sense. Question is, do I really need a complete fuse box and is it true that there are relays or similar build into the unit which can't be changed? To my mind the simplistic solution would be to run a separate power supply to the rear wash, can anyone help please? Crying or Very sad

In addition to my washer woes, I've now noticed that the windows don't auto shut when you flick the switch up but I now need to hold the switch up to fully close each window in turn a right pain. I tried to reset by fully lowering and holding for 3 seconds, then fully raise and repeat. This doesn't seems to have helped.

Reading through all the huge amount of electrical problems these cars seem to suffer, I feel even more concerned about the seemingly simple front washer problem I have (now rear!) I'm driving over to UK next week and hope that it doesn't decide to throw a wobbly and pack up on route!!

I would still really appreciate anyone advice or experience on my Dealers recommendation to change the passenger fuse box? I still don't feel very comfortable about this and I guess it's gonna be expensive! Any advice would be very much appreciated. Can anyone recommend a good leccy wizard in the south west of England that could sort the car out for me while I'm there?

I've just been quoted CHF1600.00 for the passenger side fuse box, fitting extra, that's £1000.48 at today's exchange rates! Can anyone verify this price, sorry I don't have a part number and can't find any alternative, it's obviously a captive LR part. Thanks again for any help Big Cry

I recently bought a 60 reg FL2 and it had this problem, the dealer fixed it in a few minutes saying that the software had for some reason been configured that way. I assume he plugged his magic box in somewhere to change the settings.

I got the windows working again by fully lowering and holding for 3 seconds and then up the same, The wing mirrors also sorted themselves out by lowering when reversing (I actually with they didn't!)

However the front washers are still out of action and I got it checked out in UK but the feeling is that it could be the fuse box which I could get for about £650 but it has to be programmed for the VIN number so no chance to return if it doesn't fix the problem, this is a reticule us amount of money to give it a try!

I am pretty much resolved now to run a fresh power wire to the pump which works fine, so back the basics and keep it simple (and at a fair cost) Confused

These things are just getting too complex. My son, who drives his FL2 off road a lot, thought he had a problem with my headlamp washers but I read up on it and discovered that they only come on in certain circumstances and not every time unless various criteria including time are met. This is to save wash bottle water. He just wants to be able to get them washed every time he has been splashed with mud and there is no option for that.
