Rear window won't one-click down.

My 6yr old was messing about with his window and thougt it fun to try to stop it Evil or Very Mad

Now when you try to one-click down or up the window moves about 3 inches and stops it will go all the way up and all the way down but only in 3 inch steps.

Any pointers on how I might reset this? I guess he may have screwed up the obstruction sensor and it'll need to go back to the dealership?

Try and power it all the way up and all the way back down a few times - it has probably lost its "memory" of where top and bottom are Smile

Try getting the window to the top by holding switch up,then when at top let the switch go and then hold switch up for ten seconds the let go,try one touch opp then, this will reset the window reg unit
It seems that your son has activated the anti trap function and the window will need to be reset.

hope this helps Tony.

You probably need to reset the window. The instructions are in the handbook. Confusingly there are two different sets of instructions for two different scenarios in two different places in the handbook. I don't have mine to hand or i'd be more specific but i have used both procedures at least once in the past year. It only takes 30 seconds whichever procedure you need to use.

Thanks Arcturus and Tonyjones1968

I tried both procedures in the handbook. Neither worked unfortunately. I've booked it into the dealer next week.
