My dad has the one without side EY, no issues at all, peg feet in to the floor, puts strap across, he uses a long one and putting a few twist in it stops wind catching it

Just dip one corner slightly, that way rain runs off better Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Cheers Nick, it comes supplied with piddly string type tie downs but I have adapted the storm straps from my old awning to hook into the top of the the legs. I'll see how good they are.
Also the 'bullets' that fit into the awning rail to keep it from sliding are small and cheap, I have some more substantial ones, again from the previous porch awning.

Called in at the dealer today to see what is required for the damaged headlamp washer. The answer was that the shroud will need painting as they only come in primer, plus new jets and a C washer to hold them. And it is a bumper off job to fit!

Quote was £224 if they spray the shroud themselves using cans or £226 if they send it off to the bodyshop for a proper job. Piggin' pigeons Evil or Very Mad

I'll see what the local indy garage says. GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver

I certainly don't have money to give to the LR dealer, he'll have to look to the RRS drivers for that! About £200 is for labour, basically taking off the bumper and refitting plus a bit of paint spraying. Labour rates at an indy should be more realistic, I gave up taking cars to bits in 1979 when I got a company car. GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver

You must be living in the 60s CG. We all have fixed beds in our 'vans now (hence the size and weight of them!). Chemical toilets have come a long way since the bucket and chuckit days too.

However, radiation is a family thing, we're probably immune to it by now. Father-in-law was the first, working at Harwell in the 1940s. Moved to Weymouth in 1950s to work on Winfrith SGHWR. Bro-in-law followed him from Harwell to Winfrith, looked briefly at Trawsfynydd where we went on hols but decided it was a bit too Welsh around there. So he joined Rolls Royce & Associates in Derby and went to Dounreay (Scottish he can do). Second bro-in-law went straight ro RR&A.

No to be left out I worked on the mainframe systems at Harwell (situated betwen the GLEEP and ZETA reactors) and Aldermaston and we lived in Harwell village for 25 years. Did me no harm at all, just look at me now - still better looking than CG Very Happy GONE - '07 TD4 GS manual Zermatt Silver
