Is there an official LR announcement document or Press Release to establish this as a "fact", and, is this a global action or just for the UK

The reason I ask is that here in CH whenever you have a "warranty" issue historically our experience has been that the initial Swiss response has 100% been: "that's not covered etc etc."

As you state, this would indeed be "a great step forward" and builds confidence in the brand

i can confirm this is correct

Should any genuine Land Rover part or vehicle accessory require repair or replacement as a result of a material or manufacturing defect, the part or vehicle accessory will be repaired or replaced free of charge by a Land Rover dealer. Labour charges will only be reimbursed if an authorised dealer carries out the repair or replacement.’

Effective from April 1st 2014, local market terms and conditions are now as follows:

The warranty period commences on the date of delivery of the part or vehicle accessory and is applicable for a period of 2 years or the stated service life of the part or vehicle accessory, whichever occurs later. Sophie Alltoft

ps: I enquired locally - still no response on this issue - not surprising my UK supplier of parts is more efficient than the Swiss just down the road.
