my 60 freelander 2 has intermitant problem

greetings one and all ,I have now a freelander 2 from main dealer so still under warranty 60 plate with the lower car tax I have had problems with what I think is a miss or surge in the response when changing up at slow speed ,changing from 1st to second and after easing off the power like engine braking and reapplying the throttle engine seems to miss/ surge it has been back in as the tick over seemed a little low and has been raised to 850 tick over which has helped but it is still evident at times ,its intermittent would the Landover diagnostic tool pickup if the fault was the throttle (electricthingimibob )I know it wouldn't on the disco td5

Probably yes, in the SDD diag there is a choice for calibrating the throttle body.

Hi Bear. let us know the outcome. My 11 plate I picked up last week is doing a similar thing. If it was a petrol engine i'd say it had a little misfire. Not when running normally but when you throttle out of a roundabout or a tight bend.

Service department rang me today and told me to book mine in. They said it sounded like it was either a sticking EGR or a sticking turbo actuator. Sounds like the same sort of problem and fix. Will let you know. Let me know if yours is cured after a few days and not just a short term fix.
