Auto Glym is good. I have not been offered anything from LR to date. If so, I will flatter eyelashes and ask nicely to be thrown in for free!!!! It usually works. Thumbs Up Rolling Eyes Wink

if they say they can do it for free, say yes then change your mind to a free £300 upgrade to something like a spoiler, privacy glass, DAB Radio or GAP insurance

Worth trying to play them off Whistle Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Just washed my car for the first time in a couple of weeks and carefully removed some "baked bird poo".

Was dismayed to find its acted like paint stripper on the laquer, and left the paint surface in a real mess.

I will go to LR dealer ASAP and show them,so they can give me their verdict.
Hopefully they'll accept its a warranty issue!

Never had this problem before on even cars with really poor paint and lack of lacquer protection. Would suggest to me that the lacquer is pretty soft.

Any else had this problem?

Yeah supposedly but when you live in a coastal town where the seagulls are as big as dogs and crap on your car is a weekly event it can be a bit annoying.
I washed and waxed the FL2 yesterday and it was so clean, I took my other motor to the cinema (at the beach) as I was terrified it would get crapped on (I know I know). Whistle

My girlfriend was getting out of the car and just before she opened the door a load of semi transparent, fish smelling ooze (must have been at least half a litre) hit the bonnet, screen, roof, her door, the front wing and front wheel.

Boy that was lucky!

A friend of mine was driving along in his soft top with the top down a few years ago. He got crapped on and it went right into the cabin area but worst of all, loads of it got into the screen vents.
That car was never the same.......... Big Cry
