Got my first ever Freelander on Wednesday of this week and am besotted. What a machine.

I've only ever driven 4 cars, in order. My driving instructors car, 3 years ago, my first car, a Nissan Micra, then for just under a year, a new Kia Sportage. Sportage was ok (but gutless as a 1.6 petrol) until I drove my wife's A4 and realised what a decent car was meant to feel like. Decided to screw it and get the car I always wanted, which was a FL2.

Ended up with a black 60 reg face lift manual GS. Absolutely love it.

If only I had any cash left for an experience day to understand what it can do....

So thanks to all the users here who guided me to the right choice.
