Hi all

Thinking about replacing the front wind screen on my truck. Phoned autoglass this morning and was quoted a stupid £800, for a ome screen fitted and they don't even think they can get a landrover one, this sound about right?

From memory when I had the defender 90 the screen was only £120 from them fitted, just seems a big jump up in price for a freelander 2 screen

Its not even a heated screen just one with the rain sensor

Anywho anyone had any dealings with autoglass and freelander 2 screens ome or proper ones? I have screen cover on my insurance so can probs get it done on that but don't want a aftermarket screen

Stick to your guns and ask for the OE one. Was speaking to a friend of my wife after mine was done who still works for a windscreen insurance company and she said it was your right. Admittedly, she said they try to fob people off with a cheaper alternative but always gave in if the customer demanded an OE one. She reckons not many do as they are unaware about it.  Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Steve D thanks mate, again was a good read Thought it seemed abit odd when they were trying to fob me off and saying oh we don't fit land rover branded screens ( good lie autoglass ! ) Might have to pop into there local branch and see if I can get more honesty out them ( one hopes ) Freelander 57 plate XS Blue Auto
