I'm with the street protestors booing every goal.

Hospitals not hospitality, schools not scores, power not penalties, food not finals, transportation not touts, housing not hosting, parks not pitches, employment not euphoria.

The beautiful game - nonsense - the corrupt game; feed from the top down over decades. Time for FIFA to be dismantled and the venal Blatter to be indicted for fraud and embezzlement.

Belgium 2009 Freelander 2 TD4_e XS Manual Santorini Black

Match was crap. Croatia was ripped of by the referee. Not saying Croatia should have won, but they deserved not to loose.
I hope it's not an omen for the rest of the tournament.

Penalties in particular should be rejudged by watching TV images like in American football. The spray thingy is ridiculous.

Amen to that. With the world cup and wimbledon my tv isn't going to see much use over the next few weeks! At least there's Le Mans this weekend.

Whilst I agree with your comments re: Blatter, how is wanton vandalism and anarchy going to help? The "protestors", or "Left-wing rent-a-thug" mob that were ripping up street signs etc etc have the intelligence of newts - does it occur to these Socialist parasites that the Country benefits as a whole financially from the increased revenue the World Cup will bring in? Then the Government will have the funds to provide exactly the sort of infrastructure and services that the citizens deserve. Utter dickheads and a shining example of the "me me me" culture that we saw destroying London a couple of years back. If you sympathise with that type of non-democratic behaviour, then frankly you should be living in Iraq, not CH! Foraging near Gaydon....

Typically Badger (and those on the media right) position the people on the streets, I quote: "dick-heads, parasites, and socialists."

The majority of folks yesterday, and a week ago in the 1 million people's street protest are Brazil's hard working middle class, the scientists, the educationalists, the senior management, the health workers, the engineers etc.; some of whom are unemployed, are tired of lack of investment in the essential infrastructural fabric of the nation. The disillusioned who are only too aware of the rampant corruption within the socialist government of Dilma Rousseff.

The "left-wing" rent a mob your refer to are in government not on the streets.

The great mass of the unemployed poor who live in the Favelas on their bare concrete floor, unlit, without any running water or internal sanitation dare not leave their shack for fear of squatters moving in. They dare not even travel outside the immediate domain of the street they live on. So they, the underprivileged, are not on the wide boulevards of S縊 Paulo.

None of the potential World Cup "net economic gain" (if any according to the latest analysis published by amongst others the UK's "The Economist") will or could enter into the country's economy. Rousseff's overspend on those WC's stadia, road and rail links and hospitality (through the deliberate diversion of state and regional budgets previously allocated to invest in education, health, infrastructure, industry and housing) is the cause of the civil disturbances. And after the WC circus has left town few of these WC facilities will benefit society as a whole on the calculus of $ spent $ gain - socially or GDP.

The events in Brazil by any comparative criteria, cannot be rationally compared to the London riots, and, by your own dogmatic and dictatorial comments it is you that would feel most comfortable relocating to Iraq than I.

"The intelligence of a newt" - clearly on the basis Badger of your observations of the situation within Brazil - newts are potentially further along the evolutionary chain than Badgers.

I don't quite know whether your statement above is an oxymoron, or hypocrisy at it's finest. What I do know is that I have rattled your cage, and you have come out assuming that you know all about me, my political stance, voting habits et al, rather like 'Legoman" the other week.

Every time anybody dares to challenge your opinion, you get rattled. So often, I actually find it amusing. Especially when you have a little tantrum and announce to the forum that you are leaving, expecting sympathy (circa 2012) only to come back a few months down the line. Do you have a problem with others holding a different opinion to you? It is fair to say that whilst you may think of yourself as an intelligentsia by using long rambling phrases and words that are flawed in nearly every aspect, alongside slipping in snide remarks about the evolutionary processes (Badgers v Newts), which you clearly have studied to the enth degree and are fully qualified in, it is THIS particular Badgers favourite past-time, goading the Liberal Left and getting a reaction. Something that I have successfully managed to do yet again.

Long live the World Cup, and all the trappings of wealth that it brings! Viva Capitalism! Hurrah!! Rolling with laughter

In the meantime, I'm off to watch the peasants revolt further on that nasty Right-wing News Channel, Sky, and be dealt with by the choque police as robustly as they were yesterday. Double Hurrah!!

Have a nice weekend in your Ivory Tower(s) Laughing Foraging near Gaydon....
