Decided to give macro photography a go last night

I got a Tamron 70-300 Macro zoom lens when i bought my camera, so though what the hell give it a go

Not the sharpest of photos, but is uncropped and a good learning curve, as the focus was very narrow and the dof was even smaller

I use the Tamron 90mm macro lens for this kind of shot. Cost just under £350 which is a prime lens and I think it may produce a better picture Ex 2010 Freelander2 GS-e Diesel manual Silver owner

i agree, a better lens will produce loads better images,

I don't think the branch blowing in the wind helped either

I have been looking at Oliver Wrights photos, his local to me and given me a bit of inspiration for what could be acheived, albeit, i dont have £5k to spend on a lens

Great photo- I have a Canon- but thats all thats common with your Photo!! - just muddled by so many 'options' - trying to learn just a few and then build 2011 XS,Sumatra Black, GONE MARCH 2014- RR Evoque Prestige 5 door ,MY 2014,Loire Blue, Silver Roof, Panoramic roof.

Thanks. All down to lots of practice. I used to use slide film so there was never anything you could do to the image once it was taken. I still try to take photo's to keep rather than just blasting away. With digital all you waste once you've got the gear is electrons and time.
