5 weeks ago I went into Hunters of Preston to order a new FL2 XS but was told by LR that it was no longer available it is now being replaced by the SE TECH , on the plus side some of the extras I wanted are now standard and the car is a good bit cheaper so happy days .
Delivery date 15th July Orkney grey TD4 SE TECH Manual , can't wait to get my hands on it

Thanks for this. I am normally on the Def2 forum but am looking at a FL2 tomorrow.

Any chance you could post up the specs for this SE model please and/or the differences between it and the GS/XS models?

Same spec as XS but with Cold climate pack , 19inch alloys , Front arm rests as standard and if you ask at dealers you should get it for about £27,500 or less
Only bad point for some reason you can't get reversing camera don't know why because you could get it for the XS

I am considering swapping my Defender 110 for one, but don't know if the swap on the PCP is doable/worth it.

Still, the dealer sold me my Defender and SWMBO her FL last year so will go for the loyalty card and see what they can do.

I was looking on the internet via a broker and the average price was 27.5K and 27.7K so when I went into dealers and he said what sort of price am I looking to pay and I said 27.5k and he just OK no problem so possibly could of got it for less

Be interested to see the pricing structure. I ordered my XS back in February and got it last week. My dealer suggested the range was changing in the spring but I was ready to order back then. The range is now 4x4 only (all the 2 wheel drive versions have gone, and the trim levels are now SE, SE TECH and Metropolis.

I added the extras to mine (armrest pack, cold weather pack, spolier and rear camera and paid £29.2k for it plus the rubber mats and got a decent trade in for my estate.

I notice it now comes with 19" wheels - an option I didn't want as like like more rubber off road. Is it a cost option to go to smaller wheels?

Hi DAC364 I really wanted the XS and had similar spec as yours I really didn't want the larger wheels as they will only get damaged more easily but I have taken out the extra insurance on them for 3 years cover .
Had my mondeo estate for ten years from new but been stuck in the snow a few times in the lakedistrict so looking foreward to the challenge in winter now

shame about the reverse camera being unavailable, its a good piece of kit. Orkney grey is also the way to go!  Td4 XS manual, Orkney Grey, MY2014

Don't know why they don't do the eversing camera because the SE TECH has the same meridian / satnav system as the XS

I prefer the darker colours hoping it wont show the muck up as much

Has anyone seen an SE Tech? Does it look the Same as an XS? Can't find any photos on the net! MY11 Freelander 2 TD4 S, Santorini Black, Almond Cloth, Full MY 2013 facelift, Factory Privacy Glass, Clear View Pack, Folding Mirrors, Rear Parking Sensors, LR 19" DogLeg Alloys, and lots of other stuff!

Exactly the same as a XS but with a few extras as standard . a last final fling before the fl is no longer
