Absolutely not,the "damage" is cosmetic,it will pick up dings like that in normal use,i would rather have it as it is and 900 quid in the back pocket, looks a mega bike. |

That's my thinking, cosmetic damage will happen anyway, just need to work out if the wife will go ballistic spending £1700 on a bike

Servicing isnt allot, I have a Trek EX8 Fuel its a few years old now payed £1700 for it, the shocks are Fox Floats and its got Avid Juicie hydraulic brakes, all of which are easily servisable as are the crank bearings and head set etc, get yours self a bike work stand and good bike tool kit and you tube and your a proficient bike Mech

£1150 saving if you take into account the bike trade in offer, they take any bike he was saying in the shop when I looked at new bikes, so I'll trade in my daughter £20 starter bike

I would agree, very difficult to keep a bike pristine. you will come off and it will get damaged eventually !! ( hopefully you won't ) but then again it is nice to have a brand new pristine bike to start with. you pays your money and makes your choice !! Iain |
