Does disconnecting the battery reset anything else such as the towbar programming. I know it will reset the windows but I don't want to reset the towbar wiring. (It's land rover 13 pin). |

Simple Solution - head straight to your nearest LR dealer, explain you are on holiday and I am sure they will pull out all the stops to get you on your way as quickly as possible.

The navigation has started working again by itself, took a few short journeys before it unlocked, I couldn't find the time to disconnect the battery. The system now takes about 45 seconds to wake up though, the screen says 'navigation initializing' for a while on start up. I may stop at a dealers if I pass one or call lr assist if it goes again. Cheers for replies. |

They do seem to be a bit idiosyncratic. Mine sometimes comes on straight away, sometimes takes a while to wake up. And every so often it thinks it's in Holland for about 30 seconds, then gives me a "welcome to the UK!" message. It's recently taken to tracking my every movement with a dotted line - I'm sure it didn't do that before.

That's a thought, thanks. I did put it into off-road mode recently - just playing - so maybe I didn't release it again. No it doesn't ask on startup though. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

That's sorted - I went into off-road mode and turned off the tracking. Interesting that it seems to be an off-road feature, but persists when you go back to on-road. At least, I think that's what happened. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone

I can't see the need for the 'off road' feature in this country as we're never far from civilisation, however it would be good to reverse track in the Australian outback I suppose . |
